Structural Engineering-Finzels Reach

Structural Engineering

Finzels Reach
The £225m development at Finzels Reach occupies a significant part of the Redcliffe conservation area in Bristol.  Originally a brewery, the 1 million sq ft mixed-use scheme will provide over 380 residential units, commercial offices, leisure, retail and restaurant facilities and a microbrewery.
Clarke Bond is providing engineering design for the whole development which includes the refurbishment of existing listed buildings, new build and enhancement of the public realm.
The new and existing buildings will be six and seven storey commercial offices, leisure and retail and five to ten storey residential blocks.
Surveys were also conducted to the harbour walls, above and below water level, producing a schedule of repairs and assessing stability.
The site includes extensive basement car parking accommodating the archaeological nature of the site, major retention of facades and part demolition which Clarke Bond is also managing.
A pedestrian and cycle bridge will link the site to Castle Park and Bristol city centre.
